Meet Our Team: Stuart Ferguson

Stuart Ferguson

President

As president of Aston Carter, Stuart Ferguson focuses on reinvigorating a strong team culture, staying at the forefront of marketplace trends and steering investments in infrastructure and professional development.

A Navy veteran, Stuart began his civilian career with Aerotek, Aston Carter’s sister company, as a technical recruiter in 1996. He held various sales and operational roles, including 10 years as a director of business operations in field offices, the heart of Aerotek’s operations. A strong believer in building a legacy, Stuart helped promote 13 people into director roles.

Aston Carter’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives are a core priority for Stuart. He strives to support access and opportunity for diverse talent and strengthen an inclusive workplace culture.

Steve Forman

Chief Financial Officer 

As chief financial officer, Steve is responsible for the growth and financial strategy of Aston Carter throughout North America. Steve joined Aston Carter from our sister company Major, Lindsay & Africa, where he served as chief financial officer for the past seven years. Prior to that, Steve worked at Aerotek, Aston Carter’s sister company, for 15 years, holding several senior-level positions, including executive director of finance, where he was responsible for overseeing the financial support of eight regions.

Meet the Team: Chris Danler

Chris Danler

Vice President, CENTRAL REGION AND ACCOUNTING & FINANCE

Chris Danler is regional vice president of the Central region and leads our Accounting & Finance practice.
 
Chris has held several sales and leadership roles within the Allegis Group enterprise since joining as a recruiter in 1995. An innovative thinker, Chris helped build our sister company Aerotek’s Financial & Business Services vertical and drive the company’s initiative to develop specialized recruiting and sales teams to better serve customers.    

A firm believer that Aston Carter’s work should help clients and talent alike achieve professional aspirations, Chris focuses on infusing his passion for service in Aston Carter’s leaders and culture. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and has been recognized with leadership awards for his strategic vision and innovative solutions.

Chris Weiss

Vice President OF STRATEGIC OPERATIONS

Chris Weiss is vice president of Aston Carter’s strategic operations. He’s responsible for leading Aston Carter’s business development and fulfillment strategies to serve our clients across North America. In his role, Chris partners closely with executive leadership to improve operational capabilities, innovate and drive awareness around emerging technologies. He also leads our execution of professional services with a keen focus on developing and implementing our strategy for Managed Solutions.

Chris started his career with Aerotek, Aston Carter’s sister company, in 1998 as a recruiter. Over the years he's held a variety of roles, including sales manager, director of business operations and director of recruiting operations. More recently, he served as executive director of regional operations for the Northeast region.

Dana Baughns

Vice President & general counsel

Dana Baughns serves as vice president and general counsel to Aston Carter. She has extensive complex litigation experience and collaborates with senior executives and business partners to enhance and deliver best workplace practices, regulatory compliance and strategic solutions.

As a leader who balances business goals with legal compliance requirements, Dana provides counsel within Aston Carter and to our clients on a variety of workplace compliance laws. She facilitates government contracting obligations, service and vendor agreement negotiations, and enterprise risk mitigation.

Dave Poling

VICE PRESIDENT, EAST REGION AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Dave Poling is regional vice president for the East region and leads our Customer Support practice. In this role, Dave is responsible for strategizing our customer support sales, recruiting delivery and services. Dave’s expertise includes developing national programs and improving delivery for customers.  

Dave joined Aerotek, Aston Carter’s sister company, in 1994 as a recruiter and has held leadership and operations positions. Throughout his tenure, Dave has helped drive performance by building relationships, developing people and maintaining a strong focus on company culture. His impact has been recognized through numerous company awards, including the Significant Impact Award and Strategic Sales MVP Award. Dave is a graduate of the University of Delaware where he received his Bachelor of Science.

Eric Bowen

Vice President, WEST REGION AND OPERATIONS & ADMINISTRATIVE

Eric Bowen is regional vice president of our West region and leads Aston Carter’s Operations & Administrative practice. Eric has worked within the Allegis Group brands since 2002 when he started as a recruiter. A firm believer in building a legacy, Eric is proud of having helped develop company leaders throughout Allegis. He’s focused on building sustainable growth for Aston Carter by taking care of our clients and talent. Above all, he believes that developing a healthy internal culture is key to encouraging our people to provide excellent service.

Eric is a graduate of Saint Mary’s College of California, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is an active member of the Special Olympics Northern California.

Greg Jones

VICE PRESIDENT OF STRATEGIC SALES & OPERATIONS 

As vice president of Aston Carter’s strategic sales and operations, Greg Jones leads our strategic initiatives and business development efforts to extend operations across North America. He oversees the development of a team of directors, strategic executives and account managers and is dedicated to growing our client partnerships.

Greg joined our sister company, Aerotek, in 1998 as a technical recruiter and shortly after promoted to account manager. In 2006, he became director of business operations for several offices throughout the country. Greg was next appointed as regional vice president in 2013, responsible for managing business development strategies for the Southeast region.

Greg received his bachelor’s degree from California State University with a focus in business administration and marketing. As a strong advocate for community-based organizations, he’s an active supporter of the Children’s Theatre of Charlotte and Roof Above.

Meet Our Team: Maria Ketslakh

Maria Ketslakh

Vice President, CANADA

As a vice president, Maria Ketslakh is responsible for overseeing the sales, operations and strategic direction of Aston Carter’s Canadian operations. Her primary focus is on diversifying our current business portfolio by driving results and maximizing the employee experience.

Maria started her career with the Allegis Group organization in 2008 as an engineering recruiter. Over the years, she's worked in various roles including account recruiting manager, account manager and director of business operations. Maria was the first female director of operations in Canada.

Tessa Lawrence

DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES 

In her role as Aston Carter’s director of human resources, Tessa Lawrence supports the growth and development of our people by enhancing sourcing, hiring, talent management, and retention initiatives. By providing mentorship and consultation to our employees and customers, she strengthens operational capabilities and helps mitigate risk in navigating employment laws, benefits and resources.

Tessa began her career at Aston Carter’s sister company, Aerotek, as a recruiter in 2003. Shortly after she was promoted to customer support supervisor and then regional field support manager, leading efforts to streamline efficiencies across HR functions, including internal background checks, records compliance and employee trainings.

In 2011, Tessa became director of field support, providing financial and operational support to Aerotek’s field offices. Most recently, Tessa was promoted to director of human resources in 2017.

Tessa received her Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University where she studied business administration and management. A committed leader to instilling diversity, equity and inclusion across our enterprise, she’s a recipient of Ohio Diversity Council’s Glass Ceiling Award and the Most Powerful & Influential Women Award.
