Aston Carter Announces Expansion Into Switzerland

Aston Carter expands its global presence within Mainland Europe.

Aston Carter, a leading staffing and consulting firm with 200 office locations around the world, is pleased to announce that it is opening its doors to the Swiss market.

The new office, which is based in Zurich, allows Aston Carter to offer its services to existing clients who already have presence in Switzerland, as well as to new clients who might be seeking Aston Carter’s expertise and capability.

Founded in 1997 in the United Kingdom, Aston Carter quickly established its reputation for placing top quality talent in sought-after skillsets in the financial services industry. In 2011, it was acquired by Allegis Group, the global leader in talent solutions. From there, it has formed a global enterprise specialised in providing compliance, governance, risk and regulation, change and transformation, and accounting and finance talent solutions.

In 2016, it established its consulting services arm of the business to respond to clients’ regulatory transformation needs within the financial services market. These include managed, project-based and outsourced services that help our customers navigate their dynamic business and workforce needs.

Aston Carter has also expanded to include customer support, corporate operations and administrative business and talent solutions. Today, it’s completely focused on providing consulting services and talent solutions to maximise resilience and opportunity across a broad spectrum of industries including financial services, life sciences, as well as technology, media and telecommunications (TMT)

With a buoyant staffing market and customers that span across financial services, life sciences and TMT, Switzerland is an obvious choice for Aston Carter as it seeks to increase its stronghold in the European market.

“We believe we are well positioned to enter the market and add immediate value to clients and partners in Zurich,” says Emily Cordery, Director of Business Operations for Aston Carter in EMEA.

“We have already earned a reputation for excellence globally, and we’re confident we will be able to bring the same level of service to our new customers in Switzerland. Strategically, this move will see us diversify our business and deliver to a broad spectrum of industries including financial services, life sciences, as well as technology, media and telecommunications.”

The day-to-day operations of the Aston Carter Swiss business will be driven by Sam Corcoran who joined Aston Carter in 2017. “I am excited,” says Sam. “The team is feeling up to the challenge and we are confident in the services we will be delivering and value we can bring to our customers.”

Speaking about his strategic plans, Sam explains “We benefit from working alongside our two sister brands (TEKsystems and Actalent) who already have presence in the Swiss market. This will enable us to begin serving this market immediately.

“We will continue to develop new and existing relationships, and make sure we are working hard to be the go-to partner for our clients and candidates in Switzerland.”
