Job Summary

These individuals will be joining the Office of Sponsored Research for a leading academic research institution as a Budget Analyst. In this role they will be responsible for developing budgets and conducting research billing plan reviews for industry-sponsored and investigator- initiated clinical research studies. The individual also negotiates fees and payment terms with industry sponsors.

The role will start as a 3-6mo contract with potential for permanent conversion based on performance. The internal recruiting team is working on identifying candidates for FTE openings but if the contractor(s) they hire perform well they will be considered for the permanent openings.

Budgeting: Focus on developing budgets for Clinical Trials for new and experimental therapies and observational trials.
-Work with Primary Investigators, Doctors, Project Managers, and other research staff to create, maintain and updated the budget with a team of 2-4
-Perform in-depth analysis related to the cost of the clinical trials and work closely with the Medicare Coverage Analysis team
-Gather appropriate costs and information to draft accurate budgets.

-Negotiate Clinical Trial budgets by communicating policies and pricing structures with sponsors
-Amend and re negotiate existing budgets if needed due to changes to policies
-Be the primary contact for any budget negotiation and manage the negotiation process
