"Shortly after graduating in Economics and Business from the University of Manchester, I joined Aston Carter to work on their Permanent Investment Banking desk. Despite recruitment not initially being a career path I had considered, or the market being one that I was particularly familiar with, I was drawn to Aston Carter as an organisation for a number of reasons.

During my time at University I had spent summers running my own sales business in America to help fund my studies, therefore, when looking for a graduate position I was keen to find something that offered not only a similar level of ownership, but also crucially, offered tangible rewards coupled with career progression - in return for enterprise and effort.

Subsequently, in a relatively short period of time, I have risen to the position of a Senior Consultant, through a mixture of; support, training and hard work. Furthermore, I have also had the opportunity to run key accounts, this presently includes managing our delivery for both JP Morgan and also the Commodities Trading arm of British Petroleum. We were top supplier for both during 2011."
