My client is one of the world's most elite proprietary trading desks with a reputation for excellence and quality technology. Their success has revolved around their high frequency algorithmic trading systems - this is an ultra low latency real time trading system which has consistently kept them ahead of their competitors and delivered the kind of significant profits which have allowed to pay out extremely substantial bonuses.
They are now looking to grow significantly over the course of the next year and are looking for several talented C++ developers to work in their core technology development team. You will be responsible for all aspects of their low latency, real time trading system using C++ and Python on a Unix OS and Opensource components. They do not rely on any third party software or APIs, preferring to work with their own proprietary codebases and define their own levels of quality.
The successful candidate will take on a career defining role working on the most elite and high quality software in the world, salary and bonuses will be significantly more than you can expect anywhere else and you will work alongside a team of hugely talented C++ developers. The environment is an exciting, highly technical algo trading environment, but they retain the attraction of being a fairly laid back office with casual clothes and chill out rooms etc. This is a great role for both technologists interested in finance and those who just want to write quality code regardless of the industry.
The successful candidate will have some of the following experience:
-C++ expert, including language syntax back-to-front, an in depth understanding of semantics and essentially enough knowledge to know the nitty gritty of the C++ language and "tricks" in the code
-Experience on a Unix OS
-Python knowledge would be beneficial, as would other scripting languages
-Top tier education - a natural problem solver who thrives in technology
-Innovative and eager to build systems and produce solutions of the highest quality
